Presbyterian Women

Purpose:

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study, to support the mission of the church World-Wide, to work for justice and peace, and to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthen the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witness to the promise of God’s Kingdom.

Activities:

Presbyterian Women gather for a meeting on the first Thursday of each month with a meal, business meeting, devotions and program.

Presbyterian Women support a variety of special funds and events, including

  • funeral dinners for grieving families,
  • LOVE Network,
  • Iowa County Food Bank,
  • Marengo Senior Dining,
  • Iowa County Jail,
  • camperships,
  • gifts for nursing home residents and church graduates,
  • foreign mission special offerings,
  • inter-church "Guest Night" where ladies of area churches are invited for dinner and fellowship.
